Bedtime Bible Stories

...are a favorite time of day. Ken and I take turns reading and often have a family prayer together at the end. We read "The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes" and "The Letter Book" (not the right name), both by Kenneth Taylor.

Example from the letter book:

D is for Doing
What needs to be done.
So please do it cheerfully,
then you'll have fun!

(Great msg for all of us, huh?!) There are some questions and a large picture to go with each letter. We do one letter each night and usually two or three Bible stories. I appreciate my children saying, "But we need to read Bible stories!" even when I'm tired and would skip it that night. I hope they remember these stories and lessons. Seth said today, "God loves Jesus, right?" "Yes, that's right." "And God loves me, right?" "Yes, He does-LOTS!"
Amen!

What a sweet family picture. You'll treasure pics like this as the kids grow up, Rhonda. Ken is going to have to grow a bigger lap with #4 on the way! Love, Diane
