Spring is in the air . . . I feel like dancin'!

Well, not really, but I stepped out on the deck this afternoon and soaked up the rays . . . wow, what a feeling after a relentless winter! We are enjoying checking out the various aspects of our yard. Having purchased our home in the winter, we couldn't see the features of the yard/woods too well. Nathan and Katelyn felt the need to waltz around barefeet this afternoon!

Please pray for Ken's Dad, Ken Vanderwest, Sr. He is scheduled for bypass surgery this Friday, April 18 - this was re-scheduled from Thursday, April 17, due to an emergency surgery for another patient. We are quite hopeful the surgery will help him have more energy and a better quality of life, but bypass surgery is a long haul. His surgery will begin in early AM and last 5-6 hours. The recuperation time is ?? For my Dad, his quadruple bypass surgery 8 years ago was a tough time. Thankfully, he is doing well (overall) now. When someone you love very much is on the gurney, heart surgery doesn't feel 'routine.' Please pray he doesn't have any complications with the surgery. Thanks very much - I'll let you know how things go.

Just read your blog on the 19th. But we will still pray for his healing. Wow that's a big surgery. We must all be getting up in age as all our parents are starting to fall apart. Two years ago it seemed like all my friends grandparents were passsing away and now it's our parents that are having surgerys.
